It's the one you've been waiting for ! Madam as a fairy - by herself with 300 little girls... Making fairy wands and talking fairy stuff ... But as you can see one little girl wasn't convinced and wrote for her wish .....

New Soldiers

Hi Carolyn,

Just in case you thought I'd given up ( I had to go to work for a few days!) I took them to Art Club this afternoon to everyone's amusement including my teacher who got carried away (like me) and started supplying bandages and ideas... You can't see it here but there is a crutch!! I copied uniform from ww1 photo so should be correct. So just the blankets to knit (done 1 and a 1/3) and pillows/sheets.... You have to know when to stop!!

Hope the blood is not too offensive but everyone said the children would love it!

Hoping to send them to you next week.

How are you doing with the rest of the exhibition?

Love

Flora xx

WW1 Peg Doll Nurse!

I have commissioned myself to help out my lovely sister in law and her World War 1 museum exhibition. I bought some pegs and this is the first Nurse to appear... More to follow and possible some patients. :)

Guess where we went today??

Especially to see our wonderful daughter in her new job managing the railway cafe! And then we were offered a free ride on the little steam train - we couldn't refuse! It was wonderful. pictures to follow.

Cooking curry!

Madam cooks the best curry! Her father is given chipati duty!
